Transplant Assistance Grants
Richie’s Spirit Foundation recognizes the financial burden an organ transplant has on a family. To help alleviate some of these pressures, Richie’s Spirit Foundation set-up Transplant Assistance Grants, which helped off-set some of the expenses for a family with a child waiting for or who recently received an organ donation.
Richie's Spirit Foundation awarded over $50,000 in Transplant Assistance Grants to over 100 families. In our first year, RSF grants helped families at St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where Richie received his double-lung transplant. In the past decade the program has expanded its partnership to several hospitals nationwide and has opened its application to patients throughout the country.
